Uptane is an open source, secure software update standard that has protected over-the-air software update delivery to the electronic control units of automobiles for more than five years. Designed for compromise-resilience, even from attacks by malicious nation state actors, the framework has been integrated into Automotive Grade Linux through an open source C++ implementation called aktualizr, and has also been adopted by a number of U.S. and international manufacturers. In this workshop, you will learn more about how Uptane mitigates and prevents a variety of common attacks, and how its technology and best practices continue to evolve to meet emerging challenges, such as securing the software supply chain, complying with the latest regulations and standards, and dealing with aftermarket components.
